Hi, quick question iv got a daughter who is 17 months old, she s suffering with her teeth at the minute but she had a rash a few weeks ago which is now clearing but yesterday she was constipated an lacking in energy! Today Wev had some poos but for the last few days she s had really bad eggy wind and is not eating as she normally would, an also refusing water today. Is it all connected to teeth or is she eating something that is not agreeing with her?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Thanks for your query.
whenever a tooth erupts it causes a little discomfort to child and to relieve the same they put their hand or anything they find around them in their mouth which leads to infection and problem with digestion.
I advise you to maintain proper hydration.give her oral rehydration solution if frequency of stools increases, give her curd, banana,
your daughter will be fine.
God bless.

hello friend, there are two possibilities - first is the all problems/symptoms due to dentition i.e. process of getting teeth. second - this is something going parallal process with dentition but not related to it. the most common process we studied in many cases of dentition is - during dentition, child got some abnormal sensation or pain at the site of teeth. To relieve that sensation or pain, child try to hold some object like toys, pen, finger, piece of clothes in between teeth. pressure may relieve pain, so child does it repeatedly. there are many bacteria, germs, viruses present of the object which goes inside the body of child. this will create infection in gastro intestinal system which gives symptoms related to appetite, motion, abdomen etc. it will better if you consult to homoeopathic consultant to clear this confusion. because clinical examination is most confirmatory in case of you child. if that consultant rule out second possibility and diagnosed it as dentition aggravation/ailments from dentition then there are many good homoeopathic medicines which are helpful in such a situation. medicines will selected on the basis of sign and symptoms and its evolutionary pattern. few suggestions - calc carb, opium, arsenic etc. thanking you......
