Yellow Coating On Tongue, Tired Mouthwash, Brushing, No Help. What To Do ?
I'm a 15yr old(male) and Ive had this yellow coating on my tongue for a while now. Maybe a year or two. I never thought much of it, but Ive always noticed that my parents say i have bad breath even though i just brushed and used mouthwash? I have researched this "yellow tongue" and apparently its bacteria or yeast growing on your tongue. I bought a tongue scraper that apparently was the way to get rid of it but i only got the front away? i can't clean the "yellow coating" at the back of my throat without me choking.
Additional Information: I don't drink any water if that helps with my question. I just drink Coca Cola, Pepsi and other drinks like that I sleep with my mouth open at night due to my nose being blocked sometimes as apparently "mouth breathing" can cause yellow tongue
Hello, Fungal infection due to deposition of micro-organisms on tongue can cause yellow tongue. I would suggest you to brush your teeth using soft bristled toothbrush involving all aspects of teeth. Use tongue scrapers routinely to clean your tongue. Rinse your mouth after every meals. Avoid intake of carbonated drinks like Coca-Cola,pepsi. Maintain oral hygiene well. To prevent the habit of mouthbreathing, habit breaking appliances has to be used after consulting with your dentist. Hope this helps.
