Wrist injury, painful, stiffness, using brace, x-ray showed no broken bones

I currently have had a wrist injury on my left hand , it aches and is stiff, if I move my thumb inward it feels like it is pulling a muscle or if I lift something backwards I lose strength in the hand and it is excruciating pain. I did go to the doctor but they only gave me a brace, xray s showed no broken bones. I have had the injury since Feb 2012 and I dont recall falling or injuring the wrist.

Thanks for writing to us.
The problem you are having could be related to tendonitis. The inflammation of tendons can cause such pain. You need to take oral anti inflammatory drugs and use brace for adequate healing.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
