Wrist Fracture, Plate Inserted In Wrist, Placed In Plaster, Swelling, Pain On Moving. Healing Time?

i am 65 years old. i got awrist fracture on 14th septeber 2012. and my doctor did surgery and kept plate inthe wrist.after opening of the stitches he put a plaster to my wrist for 6 weeks. yester day he has removed the plaster and advised me to do some exercises od finger movementes and wrist movement.but igot pain and swelling .please inform me how many days it willtake to cure.

Thanks for posting your query.

Your plaster was removed after 6 weeks of surgery over wrist. Now it is the time to do physiotherapy to regain the strength of muscle power .

For total healing of fracture , it will take 3-4 months.
