Would It Be Ok To Just Stop The Klonopin Or Do I Need To Be Weaned Off?

I have been on .5 milligrams of klonopin twice a day for two months. I usually only take one per day because that's all I need. Iam also on 10milligrams of Lexapro once daily and have been on it for one month. Would it be ok to just stop the klonopin or do I need to be weaned off.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

You would need to be weaned off because of possible withdrawal symptoms. I will suggest that you talk to your doctor about your plans to get off this medication so that you both can establish a plan and time line. It is always goo to get your doctors' consent and participation when getting off medications.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thank you so much for using our services, we very much appreciate this.
