Would Hydrocele Surgery Return The Penis Size To Normal?

HI, I am a 20 year old white male and this month I am scheduled to have surgery due to a very large hydrocele I have on my left testicle. I've had this hydrocele for going on 8 years. The past year it has gotten drastically bigger (reason for the surgery this month) and I have noticed a great reduce in my penis size and sexual activity. Luckily I was blessed with a large penis and hasn't effected me alot but my question is, Following the recover of the surgery sould my body and penis return to the normal size I enjoyed before?

Hi I am Dr Fahim and I will answer your query . . .
First of all Sorry to hear about your problem. But fortunately hydrocele is a benign conditon and completely treatable with surgery.
Its an accumulation of fluid in testis layer called tunica vaginalis. Its completely separate entity from your penis. Nothing is wrong with your penis size even now. The size is same only made less obvious by fluid accumulation in testis. You are just perceiving the reduction in size because of accumulaion of fluid which according to you is massive. Once surgery is done (which is to open the sac, drain all the fluid + excise the sac if its big and plicate it behind the testis). You will definitely see your penis in previous size and shape. so dont worry at all, its a small and established surgical procedure.
Wishing you best of luck for surgery and rapid recovery dear.
