Would Cancer Of The Blood Or Bones Show Up On CT Scans?

I was just treated last year for stage 4 colon cancer and I have cat scans every three months now. I am having one tomorrow and I was wondering if they say I have a clean scan is that 100 percent certain? Would cancer of the blood or bones show up in CT scans?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Blood cancer can not be seen in c scan. You have history of colon cancer. So chance of metastasis to other organs are there. Ct scan is helpful to know the spread of your cancer and other organs involvement by cancer.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.

cancer of bone can be seen in CT scan. Blood cancer can not be seen on ct scan. You have history of colon cancer. So they are doin scan to rule out metastatic carcinoma in bone. Scan is clear so you don't have any bone metastasis.

Hi, dear

You have history of colon cancer stage 4. CT scan can detect the bone cancer or any abdominal growth. Cancer of blood can not detected by ct scan. For blood cancer detection peripheral smear examination and bone marrow examination is useful.
