Would Zopiclone Tablets Taken Unprescribed Prove Fatal?

would 25 x 7.5mg Zopiclone tablets taken on their own result in fatality? My friend has taken 25 of them and has previously taken a maximum of 6 in one night and I m wondering whether I should phone an ambulance to his address. He has taken them an hour ago and is still responsive and able to chat online without spelling mistakes

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

25 tablets of zopiclone 7.5 mg is a very high dose and would most likely lead to significant adverse effects. These may include extreme sedation, and respiratory depression.

He should definitely be rushed to ER as early as possible.

Best wishes,
