Worried For Positive Yeast And Epithelial Cells During Pregnancy
Q : hey! I m a six months pregnant lady. Just asked by my dr. on my regular 6 month visit to have a urine d/r. I got it done and the report shows all things normal except yeast & epithelial cells which are reported as positive. My next appointment is next week but i want to know that if it is ok to have these things positive during pregnancy?

Pus and epithelial cells in high number indicates urine infection.
In pregnancy chances of urine infections increaes,but treatment will depends on how high is your count.
You did not mention the count,1-2 is normal >10 need treatment.
You can not all type of antibiotics in pregnancy.
Only cefixime and amoxicillin are indicated commonly.
Mean while take plenty of water,cranberry juice or citrus juice.
Maintain hygiene.
Wash thoroughly every time you go to toilet.
