Working On Issues Of Encopresis. Have Smear With White Thing. Can It Be Worms?

Hello--I've been working with my son on issues of encopresis for 2 1/2 years. Today, it looked like one of his smears had white things in it. Like whitish/yellowish seeds. Could he have worms. I've done the threadworm test with no positive confirmation.

Hi.
I hope you have gone through a proper treatment of encopresis.
Regarding your question- things like whitish yellowish seeds may not be worms.
Looks more like stained mucus.
Go for a plain x-ray abdomen for soft tissues- will guide you to see the level of stool holding in the colon.
Soap+ normal saline ( not the water) enema works the best to clear the bowel. Suppositories to evacuate the bowel are available.
I find this answer helpful
