hi my tsh was 7.09 before 2 and half month so doctor advised me take thyronorm 25 mcg and told me that your weight should also reduced. recently my tsh is 3.01 but my wait is not reduced instead increased by 1 kg (before i was 67kg and now 68kg). will the weight is reduced by taking this medicine

Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM.
It is nice to know that your TSH is controlled with thyronorm 25mcg. Actually thyronorm is not intended for weight loss rather to provide the hormone from outside that your body is not producing. Regarding weight loss you will have to start taking balanced diet like increasing the fibre content of your diet, reducing saturated fat, take fresh fruits. Moderate intensity exercise, as tolerated, provided there is no contraindication to exercise.
