Good morning,
I am happy to answer definitively that vitamin B tablets will not "cure" vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D is actually a hormone synthesized in the body for exposure to the correct form of sunlight in the right equilateral point on earth or consumed in fortified milk. Many states have almost their entire state population deficient in vitamin D. I myself take 1,000IU D3 per day. . . In my opinion, I would not take in any more than 1,000 IU per day D3 for safety concerns. But, you are not concerned about that and I do not have enough information to comment on devarol, which is a prescribed medication. To summarize, ask your health care providers again what the b vitamins are for and if they tell you it will help you with your vitamin D, tell them your nutritionist said vitamin b supplementation has nothing to do with vitamin D repletion or in obtaining/maintaining vitamin D levels. Thank you very much for visiting with me. Respectfully, K.Shattler,MS,RDN
