Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have not taken my Lipid profile for a long time, almost 8-10 months. Now when i check my triglycerides is showing 360 and my vldl is 70 and HDL is 23, LDL within range. I used to take storvas 10 but in broken intervals. Can you please advice if i should take it continously.
I had a look to your cholesterol profile. You have low LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol and high TG level. Usually statins act more on LDL cholesterol, which is low in your case. There are other medications especially for lowering triglycerid levels. You can discuss with your doctor about changing your medication. But before I will advece to you to lose weight if you are overweight, eat more seafood, exercise much, it will also help you to reduce your TG level
I hope I could help you
