Will The Burn Scars Caused By The Application Of Veet Hair Removal Cream Heal?
i used veet hair removal cream on my upper lip, after a couple of minutes i felt a strong burning sensation i immediately wiped it off my face, my whole upper lip was completely red and sore a few minutes later the red areas started to bleed. the bleeding has now stopped but i still have this dark burn scar will it heal/fade in time or is it permanent?
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. you seem to have developed contact irritant dermatitis due to veet application. To treat the same, take oral cetirizine twice in a day. Apply steroid antibiotic cream like mometasone fusidic acid combination cream ( momoz f cream) twice in a day. Let the lesion heal completely. It may heal with pigmentation. The pigmentation can be treated later on with hydroquinone, Glycolic acid creams etc. avoid using depilatory creams over sensitive areas. Hope this helped.
