Will Taking Phentermine Suffice For Fatigue, Dry Skin And Overweight Caused By Possible Hypothyroidism?

Am I a hypothyroid patient? I am a 39 year-old woman. Symptoms: persistent fatigue, overweight (183 lbs = 83 kg, height: 5,41 ft = 165 cm), hair falling out, dry skin, sometimes problems with memory and swollen face. I can t lose weight no matter what..and I am really tired after climbing stairs or other minor effort. I feel like I m short of breath These are my thyroid test results: TSH: 6, 210 reference range: 0.270 to 4.200 a year ago it was 4.730 FREE T3: 2.67 reference range:1.70 to 4.20 FREE T4: 1.01 reference range: 0.70 to 2.00 I was prescribed Phentermine (after 3 weeks I lost 8,8 lb - I weighed 192 lbs, which is great but I don t want to, and I think I can t take it to the end of my life) How serious is my condition? Should I consult endocrinologist or can I improve my health by myself by for example taking iodine? I ve read it may help a lot, but also make the condition worse in some cases.. Please, advise..

Hi. Your thyroid report looks alright. A mild increase in TSH is not a problem. BY the time you loose more weigh with phentramine, you will find yourself with more esteem and may be you have your own diet control and exercise regimen. Loosing over-weight itself will help you to stop medicine as per your wish in a short duration if you really are particular .NO iodine please.
