Will Taking Lisinopril Cause Any Negative Side Effect If I Am Pregnant And Will Its Stopage Delay My Periods?

I've been on 10mg of lisinopril for over a year, lowered the dose to 5mg over the past few months. I thought I may be pregnant so I stopped taking it about 7 days after possible conception. Should I be worried about the medicine having a negative effect on the possible fetus or me if I am pregnant? Also, would stopping this medication cause a period to be late?

Hello there!
Thank you for asking and i want you to know that
Lisinopril will sure as hell affect pregnancy, it is category D drug and not to be used any way during pregnancy.
It causes severe fetal injury, including hypotension, neonatal skull hypoplasia, anuria, reversible and irreversible renal failure, and death.
Now the periods have not been related to them and there is no such correlation between two.
You can switch to pregnancy friendly antihypertensives. Seek the Obstetrician help and save your baby.
