Will Taking Cough Syrup During Pregnancy Harm Baby?

Hi Im 22 Weeks pregnant and took two (4 hours apart) doses of Buckley's cough syrup last night the coughing was just so bad that is was giving me anxiety. Im trying to see if this is an ok syrup to use Ive since stopped but the coughing is still driving me crazy!

You should avoid taking any medicine without prescription from your doctor while you are pregnant. Buckley's cough syrup contains dextrometorphane and is not recommended during pregnancy. You can use lozenges like alex lozenges to relive cough and if it does not get any better in couple of days, you shouldd see your doctor.
