Will Taking Simvastatin Cause Passing Of Green Stool?

I am a 45 year old female and am taking 20 mg Simvastatin daily. I've been on this medication for 40 days and just started experiencing green stool yesterday. My diet is mostly whole foods (grilled meats, fresh veggies and fruits) and has not changed over the last few weeks. Is this output normal with this drug?

Hi thank you for querry,
As you mentioned you are taking simvastatin and complaints of green stools you just noticed and on pure veges and green leafy vegetables,
as side effect of simvastatin is concerend regarding bowel it cause flautance, nausea, dhiarhea or constipation and abdominal in pain in 5 to 7 % individuals.
no green stools are reported.
as green leafy vegs contain more fibers in it which form the main bulk of stool and give it greenish clour.
Hope the answer will help you to asess your condition.
Feel free to contact regarding health issues.
