Will Stopping Hydroxychloroquine Thicken Hair?

I have been on hydroxychloroquine for several months now and have noticed my hair is thinning. This concerns me greatly. If I stop this med will my hair return to its thickness? My dosage was one 200mg bid and was decreased to one 200 mg daily and my hair continues to thin out.

Thanks for posting your question on HCM!
Age, gender, the purpose and the duration of using Hydroxycholoroquine not mentioned.

I appreciate your concern towards the hair problems.
I am of the opinion that hair thinning, discoloration of hairs are some of the important side effects of Hydroxychloroquine. These side effects are reversible in the sense once you stop taking this drug your hairs will be normal.

Hope your doubts have been clarified.
Regards
