Will Sexual Activity Affect Painful And Swollen Testicle?

I am having acute pain and swelling in my right testicle only, since many many months. However, I visited Dr. couple of days back. Doctor has already prescribed me alopathic medicines and a tight scrottle support; and now I have started using "Langot" as an innerwear. My question is if I masturbate ot indulge in sexual activity, will it affect to mt testicles more? Should I refrain myself from masturbation? Does Ice-shocks helps?

Pediatric Surgeon 's  Response
The pain and swelling in the testicle is due to infection which was due to unprotected sexual activity. Please get a urine culture and sensitivity and a peripheral smear for microfilariae. Take antibiotic according to the urine culture growth and sensitivity reports and if peripheral smear shows microfilariae present take tab. diethyl carbamazine 300 mg two times a day for 21 days. For pain, you can take pain killers like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Drink a lot of water and continue having scrotal support.
