Will Scabbing Effect The Healing Time Of Jock Itch?

I have jock itch and was told to use anti-fungal cream, It made the area worse and it became white and now it looks like it is scabbing. I went to a more natural cure of deluded apple cider vinegar and Sea salt soaks. Will the scabbing effect the healing time and is it normal?

Apply anti fungal cream and if possible take oral anti fungal medication.

Applying home remedies worsens the situation further.
