Will Rubella Infection Harm Baby During Pregnancy?

Hello doctor, My wife was infected rubella for about one month before having pregnancy, she did not treat any vaccine or medicine. Now, she is getting in pregnant for around 11 weeks. Please kindly give us an advice, should we keep the unborn baby? Thank alots. John.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Rubella infection prior to conception makes your wife immune to this disease and hence it will not effect your fetus in any way, as your wife immune system had developed protective antibodies against rubella.
I suggest you not to worry and keep this pregnancy safely.
