Will Reclast Medicine Cure Anemia?
I developed anemia (hemablobin 8.4) 3 weeks ago. Had colonscopy and upper Gi scope--no bleeding. Apparently anemia is due to taking Reclast. Stopped that 3 weeks ago. Eating to try to correct anemia (heme iron sources such as clams, oysters, beef) and hem0globin is no at 10.8. Feel better than I did 3 weeks ago, but really dragging enerby-wise. How long does it take to resolve anemia due to Reclast , and the aemia side-effect? Any recomendations to speed this up? Thank you so very much!

Anemia is a very common result of reclast and will resolve once the drug is stopped. A good balanced diet with proteins and green leafy vegetables and folic acid and iron supplements will boost the erythropoesis. Consult with your haematologist for further management.
