Will Pregnancy Happen After Using A Condom?

Hi, I m 17 years old, and I just had sex for the first time today. It s a healthy relationship and we did use a condom. However, I don t know if there was enough space at the tip of it. Since it was our first time, neither one of us really came, so I m not that worried... But should I still try Plan B? If so, how do I buy it?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Barrier method of contraception (i.e. condom) is quite safe and prevents pregnancy in all cases if used properly.
Tear of condom or leakage can cause deposition of semen in vaginal tract and thus pregnancy.
However, if you are doubtful regarding the optimal use of condom, you can take emergency contraception.
Emergency contraception consists of taking hormonal pills which should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.
Emergency contraception should not be used in routine, it should be used only during emergency.
The success of emergency pregnancy should be assessed by consulting your gynecologist for relevant investigations.

Thanks and take care
