Will Paracetamol Suffice To Treat Severe Headaches And Stroke?

My husband is suffering from a very severe headache. This is not something he has had before. He is also suffering from MSA so many of the symptoms associated with a stroke he suffers from on a daily basis however he has never experienced such severe pain in his head before.
He has taken paracetamol but they don't seem to be working.
Any advice please?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Sudden onset severe headache needs to be investigated. As of now, you may try giving him another tablet of paracetamol. If that does not work, you may give him an ibuprofen or diclofenac tablet.

If the headache still persists, he should be taken to ER and a CT scan of the brain should be done to exclude a brain haemorrhage (bleeding inside the brain).

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
