Will My Baby Be Affected If I Suffer From Dysentry?

i am 19 weeks pregnant and suffered from dysentary for over 3 hours, i had stool with mucus accompanied by serious abdominal cramps, i feel better now after taking medication given to me by my doctor, but my baby s heart beat was not checked, should i be worried, will my baby be affected, i dont want to loose my baby.
