Will Montair Treatment Help For Cold And Cough Due To Pneumonitis?

my son, now 2y7m old- 11 kg wg, suffered bilateral basal pneumonitis 5mth ago. Still now he suffers from cold & cough frequently.Dr. suggested Antibiotics (azithromycin, cefpodoxime) but recurrence present. Throat swab nil. X ray OK. Presently under Montair treatment. Will it help or else any underlying problem? Thanks- Kuntal

Thanks for the query.
As you said throat swab, x-ray are nil, it might be allergic symptoms.
You can do the blOod tests like complete blood count look for eosinophil count, and ESR.
Till then continue montair and see whether there is any exposure to dust , pollens which should be avoided.
Wash bed sheets in child's room regularly with boiling water, also do not keep any curtains, books, which can attract dust.
