Will Modus 10 Mg Cause Any Side Effects During Early Pregnancy?

I was got married on 5th march after a month my period is delayed 10 days that is april 19th so my Doctor give a suggestion to take modus 10mg for every month in 16th day from the period. Now i have to get pregnancy if Modus 10Mg make any side effect in early pregnancy?

Hi,
If you wish to conceive, and if you do not have any confirmed hormone defect, it is advisable not to use Modus. If at all, you can use micronized progesterone. This is safe even if you conceive. Furthermore, if your periods are irregular, it would be better if you get properly investigated and get any hormonal defects corrected to ensure good fertility and early conception. Progesterones can cause virilization of a female fetus when used during the phase of sex differentiation, i.e., at around 45 days of pregnancy. Hope this helps.
