Will Medroxyprogestrone Help In Delaying Periods ?

hi I am 34 years old .I have a question
I am going on vacation start on July 27 end on august 3
the problem is that I have my period start in he same duration of my vacation, I asked my doctor and she recommended that I start use medroxyprogestrone 10 MG on the first day of my current period which It started yesterday on July 1st to take medroxyprogestrone and I will continue use it for 15 days and after that I will take a break for a week and I will take the same pills for 15 days again do u think that will help to delay my period or get it early before my vacation on July 27 .
note : since I start my pills on july 1st ( yesterday ) I still have my period regularly.

Progesterone helps in maintaining the bulk of the endometrial tissue.Menstrual bleeding occurs when this progesterone support is lost to the endometrial tissue, that is it is withdrawal bleeding.Hence supplementation from progesterone will delay periods.So,you can take it ,as recommended.
