Will Injury Inside Ear After Using Q Tip Heal On Its Own?

My son was cleaning his ear with a Q-tip and slipped and jammed it into his ear. It did bleed a little bit and had some tenderness. It has been 9 hours now & It is no longer bleeding but still is tender. He has no hearing loss form what he can tell. Will it likely heal on its own?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for the query.
As per your clinical history it appears as your son having trauma to ear canal while cleaning with Q tip .
Keep ear dry . Donot allow water to go inside. Stop using Q tip for ear cleaning.
Use ciplox D ear drop. Most likely it will on its own.
Hope above information helpful to you.
Regards - Dr KK ( Karade )
