Hello and welcome to HCM!
Elevated mother's blood sugar level might affect the baby in terms of over-growth (large baby), injuries during natural delivery because of big size baby, low baby blood sugar level at birth, etc. Also babies born from diabetic, pre-diabetic or gestational diabetes mother could be more at risk of developing diabetes later in life. However, these effects do not occur in 2-3 weeks as they require longer periods of time to affect the baby and if your blood sugar level is normalised then there should be no problems with your baby. I suggest to consult your doctor and follow his instructions on lowerin blood sugar levels. I would recommend moderate exercising, healthy diet and maybe intake of insulin to lower sugar levels. In any case it is wise to keep close contact with your doctor to monitor the situation.
Best!
