Will Fibroids Cause Diarrhea And Frequent Urination?

Dear Doc..I am 40yrs of age, 145 lbs, 5f 6inc. About a year ago I have been told I have 2 small uterine fibroids, at that time there was no pain or anything. However a week ago I was getting a pain in the middle of my lower abdoment which seem like my uterus. This pain seem like it was resting on something which seem to cause frequent urination and feeling to stool which turned out to be like about 6 times going to the bathroom. Depending on the position I am lying in seem to cause stomach pain to go to the bathroom. Apart from the fibroids I also have diverticular. Could the fibroids be causing the diarreah and frequent urination or could this be a gastro intestinal problem.

I am so sorry to hear about this frequent urination and diarrhea. Fibroids for sure cn cause frequent urination especially when they grow big in size. However, fibroids cannot cause diarrhea. This diarrhea may have been caused by an intestinal problem. In any case, you would need to get evaluated by your doctor to pinpoint the exact cause and manage appropriately.
