Hello and welcome,

It is unusual for fibroids to remain undiagnosed. An ultrasound picks them up most of the time. So please get an ultrasound done by an expert radiologist to help in diagnosis.

Other causes of prolonged periods may be ovarian cysts and hormonal imbalances. Sometimes endometrial polyps also produce pain and excessive bleeding. They can be diagnosed by ultrasound and hysteroscopy. Endometriosis is abnormal growth of endometrium inside the abdomen. It also causes pain.

So please get all these done. Once the diagnosis is reached it will be easier to formulate the treatment.

Hope I was able to help you.
Thanks for the query.
