Will Doing Exercises And Yoga Regain The Reduced L5-L4?

sir, my l5l4 is reduced, for last 10 years. some time i cant move also that time i have to lay down in upward positon for 1 to 2 days. After taking injection and tablets I can stand up. My question is that can I regain that reduced gap by exercises and Yoga. Or I have to go for surgery?

Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Unfortunately there is no way to regain that reduced gap by exercise of Yoga. But physical exercise and Yoga can help reinforce your back muscles and correct your posture. This will help reduce the back muscle spasms and thus reduce the pain.
Surgery is not a definitive solution too. You may still experience chronic back pain after surgery.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards, Dr. Aida
