Will Coumadin And Metropolol Drugs Interact Negatively To Musinex?

I have a bad cold and just started taking Musinex. I am on Coumadin, Metropolol and wonder if these drugs interact with the Musinex in a negative way. I am very careful about my medications and don t like to take them unless absolutely necessary. I have a St. Jude Aortic valve and that is the reason for my medications.

Hi!
Welcome to HCM!

I appreciate your concern towards the safety profile of the three drugs mentioned in your question.
Mucinex is mainly used to treat the cough and mucus in the chest during flu.
Since its action mainly involve around the airways and the mucus, it has no harmful interactions with either Coumadin or Metoprolol.
You may continue to use this medicine along with the above drugs.

If your symptoms do not subside you may have to visit your doctor for the possible use of antibiotics.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Regards
