Will Concerta Be Helpful In ADHD Treatment Of A 8 Year Old?

My son is 8 and weighs about 67 lbs. He was diagnosed with ADHD a year ago and his dr. started him on Vyvanse and moved him all the way up to 60 mg. He was doing much better behavior wise but we noticed he had started pulling out his hair. The Dr. switched him to Concerta. Do you think this will help? if not what is the next step?

Hi, Thanks for asking.
Yes, concerta will be helpful to him. It is also a stimulant medication used for ADHD.
If he does not respond to concerta then non stimulant medication like atomoxitine can be tried in him.
You may also start behavioural therapy for him in addition to medications.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
