Will Be Diabetic Cause Me Problem For Pregnancy ?
Hi doc I am female 28 years, i went to a gyanic for a treatment and she asked me to go for a gulose fasting test and my report says it is high ie 170mg/dl. am i a diabetic and will the result show more if you fast for long and take up the test in the noon. coz i took my test at 1pm. will this be a problem for me to conceive. thanks doc

Ideally you should take the fasting in the morning 8 to 10 hours after your night meal
and followed by a post prandial value after 2 hours
170 is on the higher side and need proper evaluation
If one is diagnosed to have elevated blood sugars then proper control with diet and /or medication with life style modifications will help to control the levels
High sugars can affect the mother and the fetus

You can get your fasting & postprandial blood sugar re tested to confirm or rule out diabetes.First try to control it with dietary regimes & exercise ,if no response than only go for medicines.Diabetics can also become pregnant ,there are so many diabetic mother we come across regularly.
