Will Apo-minocycline Help In Treating Acne On Face?

Hi good evening doctors. I would like to ask does apo-minocycline is effective for acne? my doctor told me to take this medicine for three months and it will show the effect after 4 weeks of taking. I am wondering why is it until now i still have acne all over my face? thanks.

You seem to have inflammatory acne.
Minocycline is an Oral antibiotic which is commonly prescribed for inflammatory acne (pustules, papules and nodules).
Oral antibiotics are faster acting. The mode of action being antibacterial and anti-inflammatory actions.
Response is usually evident in 2-4 weeks.
In combination with topical treatment Oral treatment achieves faster control of acne activity.
Therefore Oral treatment with Minocycline is a part of overall treatment of acne and is not a substitute of topical treatment.
