Will A Person With Hydrocephalus Have Seizure Disorder And Due To Imbalance Of Electromagnet Current In The Brain?

For curiousity sake is it usually the case that a person with hydrocephalus have a seizure disorder as well due to imbalance of electromagnet current in the brain? I have had hydrocephalus since I was 3 months old. I am 55. I had my seizures start when I was 17. I take a lot of medication and also have a vagus nerve stimulator. I hope this is enough information for you. i can add to it if need be.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

Generally, a person with hydrocephalus does not have seizures. So, we need to look for other causes for your seizures.

MRI of the brain (epilepsy protocol) can help us find out the reason for your seizures. Sometimes, no cause can be identified, when it is referred to as idiopathic or cryptogenic seizures.

I hope it helps.

Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
