u need to undergo tympanoplasty..but sometimes a small perforation will heal by itself..how did it get perforated? if its an infection ,get it treated first..consult a ENT doc for the best guidance..

Perforation of the eardrum usually does not heal by itself.
It also leads to exposure and recurrent infection
The only option is a surgical closure of he ear drum
