Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Qlaira contains
estradiol valerate and dienogest. It is a novel combined oral contraceptive.
Skipping dose of
oral contraceptive pills and having
unprotected intercourse always carries a risk of getting pregnant. Hence, it is strictly recommended to take the pill at proper time everyday without missing even a single dose.
If the delay in the intake of a missed tablet is less than 12 hours, the missed tablet should be taken as soon as remembered. If the delay in the intake of a missed tablet is more than 12 hours, then you should consult the chart.
It is advised to use condoms and spermicidal agents in case you are indulging in intercourse till the time you get your next periods.
The symptoms you are experiencing pertain to being pregnant. However, symptoms alone can not confirm about your
pregnancy status.
If there is delay in getting your periods this time, kindly take a urine pregnancy test and consult Gynecologist for evaluation and further management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
