Will Primolut N Help In Aborting A 5 Weeks Pregnancy ?

Hi! I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I went to my doctor to ask for an abortion. He gave me Primolut N - 2 tablets in the morning and 2 in the night for 2 days... According to some internet sites, this drug is useless in my case... Just wondering why my doctor would prescribe this to me... Any guidance?

Primulot N contains norethisterone.
It is a progesterone.
It will not help in inducing abortion.
In case of delayed periods without pregnancy, these tablets can help in inducing withdrawal bleeding.
So, now you consult gynecologist, get examined and go for ultrasound.
Ultrasound is essential to confirm the intrauterine pregnancy, to estimate the gestational age and to rule out the ectopic pregnancy.
Taking tablets for abortion without ultrasound is not correct and can lead to complications.
Then according to the gestational age you can choose the method of abortion with your doctor's advice.
In case of 5 weeks of gestational age, medical termination with tablets is possible.
