My 22 year old son had a Tonsillectomy on 17th December and was on Prednisone 20 mg Tablets for 6 days, Liquid Codeine 15mg/5ml Linctus, Dicolfenac Sodium 50mg D Tablets that dissolved in water, Paracetamol and Cefaclor mh. 125mg/5ml Susp. On 25th December he noticed a white film on his Tongue and by 26th December his Tongue was swollen and covered in a thick custard like film. He went straight to the Doctor on 27th December and was given 24ml Nystatin Dr Oral to use 1ml in each cheek 4 times a day which he has done for the past 4 days but because he won't finish the course until New Years Day and the lumps on his tongue are still very sore with his sides of his tongue still covered with thick white film. His Doctor has prescribed 1 Capsule of Ozole Fluconazole 150mg to be taken by mouth which he has done today. He has had so many antibiotics over the past year to treat his Tonsillitis but will this 1 Capsule of Ozole Fluconazole work and he will need to finish the course of the remaining Nystatin. He has been eating heaps of Yoghurt and rinsing his mouth with warm salted water as well.
