Will Imitinef Mercilet Help To Treat Blood Cancer?

We have been hearing from lot of people via email messages that there is a drug by the name IMITINEF MERCILET, which can cure blood cancer. Also that this medicine is available free of charge at the "Adyar Cancer Institute" in Chennai. My questions are -

1. Is it true that this medicine can cure blood cancer?

2. Are there any exceptions to this, e.g. that it can cure only a few types of blood cancers and not all.

3. Are there any side effects of this medicine?

4. Is this medicine recognised and recommended by any doctors' panel or for that matter the Medical Council of India?

Many thanks for the answers.
