Will Euthyrox Affect My Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor

My name is sara I am 27 yrs, My Thyroid Antibodies are high so I did all the necessary test (TSH, FT4, FT3) ultrasound, all the levels are normal so the doctor gave me Euthyrox 25 micro gram, but I want to ask does it effect pregnancy or delay it.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

If you have a low thyroid hormone levels, then this is a perfect medication to make sure your child develops normally. It in no way has any effect on the development of your child. Its absence is what would rather cause severe symptoms. This can only help your pregnancy if justified but am wondering if this is really necessary if you reported having all normal levels of the thyroid evaluation. as your doctor why he had to prescribe this medications despite having normal hormone levels.
