Good Afternoon doctor, My query to you is whether alfa ketoanalogue will be given to a CKD patient to delay the progression of Dialysis ? I really appreciate your concern, this may not be the case but this is steroid and it need to be avoided as long as it possible if not indicated strongly, long term use of steroid could cause the renal function sluggish or may increase the filter rate in kidney (Glomerular filter rate) in old age hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
