Widal Test Showed Salmonella Typhi And Antigen. What Do They Indicate?

My doctor suggested to take Widal test for my 8 years old daughter and the results shown as
Salmonella typhi O (TO) Non Reactive
Salmonella typhi H (TO) Non Reactive
Salmonella paratyphi A, H (AH) Non Reactive
Salmonella paratyphi B, H (BH) Non Reactive

after that one note was written as:

Titres 1:80 and above of "O" antigen & 1:160 and above of "H" antigen are significant

Please tell me wheather my daughter has any typhoid

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

As all the four antigens in the widal test are negative, She probably do not have Typhoid fever.

But it is up to the treating physician decision.
Because if your strongly suspects Typhoid on the clinical back ground, She may need antibiotics for treatment.

Please consider widal test after a week, if the fever persists.

A four fold increase titre is usually considered to have typhoid fever.
