I have noted the symptoms of your wife. In a person with recent onset headache, in addition to
migraine, we should consider alternative diagnoses. These include
meningitis (
brain fever). This should be considered, as she also has fever.
Lumbar puncture and CSF analysis would help in confirming or excluding meningitis.
If LP is normal and headache is persisting, then, MRI with venogram should be done to exclude a diagnosis of CVST (cerebral
venous sinus thrombosis).
