Why Was My Son S Mouth Red And Swollen?

Hi my son a was accidently hit in the mouth causing him to bit his tongue really hard several of his teeth went in his tongue this was about four days ago now his whole mouth especially gums around teeth and palate of mouth is red and swollen and his throat is also sore, it is very painful and he cant get and it hurts to even drink

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the redness and swollen gums around the teeth could be secondary to tooth fracture or bone fracture. the break or cut in the tongue can cause burning sensation and pain. consult a oral physician and take radiograph to rule out fractured tooth or bone.. you can take topical analgesic and anesthetic to reduce pain. i hope my answer will help you. take care.
