Why There Is No Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Abortion Pill?

My doctor did not showing or not disclosing the name of abortion pill which my wife consumed yesterday for an early termination, Also she charged Rs.5000 for the tablet which she has given to her. After taking the tablet no bleeding started yet now. I doubt the nurse has given her a wrong medicine. Please help me /Regards, Sudharman

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Better to consult your gynecologist if no vaginal bleeding after 48-72 hours using abortion pills.
Absent of bleeding may be due to inadequate dose, absence of pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy.
Always use medical abortion pills after the advice of gynecologist regarding dosage, route and time of administration. It cause complication like excessive bleeding, incomplete abortion and abnormal development of baby in failure.
Combination of mifepristone plus misoprostol is used for medical abortion
If pregnancy is intrauterine and up to 9 week of gestational age:
Tab. Mifepristone 600 mg orally followed by Tab. Misoprostol 800 mcg (4 tablet of 200 mcg) either vaginally/orally after 24-48 hours
If bleeding will not come, you can use another dose of Tab. Misoprostol 800 mcg at 6 hour interval under the supervision of gynecologist.
